ABOUT ME

WENDY CHEN is a writer/director who holds an MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU Tisch and a BFA in Film Production from Emerson College, with over six years dedicated to feature screenwriting.

She is currently developing her debut feature ĀN. The project is now being packaged with a New York–based production company.

Her previous feature script, the psychological drama HI JACK, won Best Feature Script at the New York International Film Awards and was selected by the Cannes International Screenplay Awards and the Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards.

Before filmmaking, Wendy spent a decade as a professional badminton player on China’s National Team. Her background in elite athletics informs her discipline, intuitive approach to storytelling, and belief that precision and vulnerability can coexist.
